Good evening all,
Is anyone else getting any alerts from our security system? I just had a Ventrue contact of mine frantically asking if someone had scrawled a warning ("DEATH") on the outside of the building. I think I will take a quick look around outside and make sure the wards are still in place and that everything is in order. Hopefully you hear from me shortly. Please send someone to check on me if I'm not back by the morning, if you don't mind. Thank you.

Take some of the guards, as well as Mr. GRIMM with you.

Nobody seems to have marked the Chantry or the surrounding grounds. Traveling to the Ventrue's haven reveals that the marking looks like this:  Spirit touching it reveals a young and scruffy looking man who spray paints on the marking using a stencil just after dawn. As soon as the job is done he hurries away. |

Ah, I see. His intent is made clearer to me now. I misunderstood the meaning of his message. He was obviously concerned for the integrity of his own haven, and was reaching out to determine if this was a singular occurrence, or if other locations in the city had been so marked. My apologies, Regent. I thought that he meant our holdings had been violated in turn, and thought it prudent to verify the integrity of our own security either way. It appears we have nothing to fear in this particular instance, although it seems others may not be as fortunate this night. I know Lange has been making inquiries into the disappearance of Imelda Jacobs, most likely on Primogen Shepard's behalf, and it would seem his inquiries are drawing notice in sensitive quarters. These are uncertain times indeed...
