Good evening fellow Neonates,
For those who were not present at court, allow me to fill you in what happened pertaining to what I am going to be speaking on.
It would seem that a few of the ancillae in the court, wish to form some sort of.. alliance, I guess you could call it, with the Order.
They stated the reasoning for this as such-
-More protection
-Unity
-Holding more seats on the Primogen Council
That being said, Those who were present at court, had a bit of a chance to hear the pitch from Bunni Lepus, Cribbs, and John Brooks.
While I have my own thoughts and opinions on the matter, I would like to take the time to hear the thoughts that everyone else has as well, and discuss here where we will not be attempting to talk over each other as happened last evening.
This proposal does raise a few concerns to me, and I would like to point them out.
-Bunni is an ancillae female. Why is she not a member of the all female coterie? We all know that they do not think fondly of the order, and this could be an attempt to plant some sort of mole within our ranks for whatever purposes if she is.
-Bunni, John, AND Cribbs, would have a say in the decisions of the Order. This can become very chaotic, very very quickly, and lead to more trouble.
-We are many as it is, and the more people we gain, the more attention we attract. I would like to not do that for many reasons. The foremost of those being that the Elders of the court, already look down upon us, and while having the backing of a few higher then us COULD make us be seen a bit better, it could also make us be more threatening.
-Bunni insists that the Code of Montgomery would not apply to any situations where we work with them, which is something I am not okay with.
AND LASTLY (at least of reasons that I can think of)-
The Order Of Montgomery is a NEONATE haven on sorts. It is a safe place where we can all come and discuss, and work together. To be free to express our opinions, and feel safe while doing so. As I am sure I don't have to point out to you, and with the above statement of ditching the Code, The Order would not be as such anymore. This is not something I am okay with.
All of the above are simply my thoughts on the matter. Please feel free to discuss your thoughts on it here. I would very much enjoy hearing especially what those who do not attend court have to say about it.
