The attack against us is less then two weeks away. It will be coming and they will have specific targets they will want dead, We need to device a plan to minimize are casualties. They will have Specific Targets they want eliminated and most likely will try that night, if we know who they are targeting we can set a trap I think. |

Instead of saying what WE need to do, why not take some leadership and say something like...
- I have made the decision to abandon the Chantry and ensure that all Tremere are at the Windsor Hotel on Halloween at significant cost to the Tremere - There should be 6 Warlocks present to assist in protection of the city - If the Keeper permits it, I have already arranged for a number of Wards to be placed on and around the Hotel - I have created an item with a significant magical enchantment to ensure the escape of trapped Kindred, or the setting up of an Ambush - I have learned that Calgary will be emptied of Sabbat, all of them coming here - I am still determining their means of travel
You could also say something like:
- The safest spot in the city will be the Windsor Hotel - The Windsor is an Elysium site and the Sabbat have their own twisted version of respect for Elysium - I have been also able to determine that Archbishop ALEXANDROV and Bishop ROJAS will be in attendance
Of course, your Sire and Elder left this City, by order of the Imperator, 2 weeks before the hornet's nest that he has spent a good deal of time and effort stirring up is unleashed.
So, Primogen John...what exactly is it YOU have done?

I Have been trying to track down sabbat and any plans they may have, not only in are city but in Calgary it self. I am working on making sure things are minimized in talk a casualties. I have been busting ma ass to ensure this cities safety. Clearly the safest spot is the Windsor but we are up against a Sabbat who is umpredictable So who is to say what Is safe. I have the gangrel working on gathering information/preparing as well. When I say WE I mean it in the sense as us kindred of Red Deer, This is a target at all of us and WE as a city need to work together.
NOW as for the Ambushing the Sabbat so long as we can all work together I can be the bait to lure them, I have fought and killed many Sabbat in mexico and I know for a fact that the Sabbat up here know of me and are planning on targeting me this Halloween. I will be away from the Elysium for the most part of that night luring who I can and killing them. Many of the sabbat that have come up here to fight came from Mexico and they will take any chance then came to try and kill me! These people will want me more then anyone else and I have already set a plan in motion for them to come after me on Halloween, I will lure those I can away from Elysium giving those at the Elysium a better chance. |

Personally, in will probably be sitting in the park downtown waiting with whoever join me to take down whatever comes at me. I hope it is a pleasant evening full of destroying sabbat.

Thank you for a lot of generalities and nothing specific that someone can actually incorporate into a cohesive defense.

I am glad that you have been trying. I have actually succeeded as opposed to trying, and shared what was learned. Have you actually gleaned anything useful, or were you just wandering around the bush asking everyone they saw if they were Sabbat?

That is nice...in what way? What have you SPECIFICALLY done? If you ass has been busted I would hope there are some tangible and useable results...or are you just mistaking effort for results.

Because it isn't obvious. It wasn't obvious before the Tremere, amongst others, set up a lot of it's defenses. It isn't obvious to many of the newcomers to this City, of which you are one. It may not be obvious to those that do no regularly attend Gatherings. Thus, it falls to the Primogen to inform them. If you ever graduated highschool, you would know the old mathematics adage, "it's obvious isn't a proof"

Quite obviously that is what you meant. That is why I SPECIFICALLY detailed what the Tremere have done, and are doing. Perhaps the Gangrel should do the same.
If we just focus on are own clans then the sabbat have us where they want us Seperated!
Right, because a willingness to sacrifice OUR Chantry, so that the CITY has access to magical defense is us concentrating on our own Clan. What hubris. Have you sacrificed anything? The Tremere could EASILY hole up and protect ourselves. There is no force in Calgary that could infiltrate our Chantry, but no, we gave that up for the likes of you.
So, again, I say, what have you actually accomplished? What is it, Childe of PICKENS that you bring to the table, other than vagaries and guns (which we have as well).

as i said i scouted Calagry and this is what i know:
1- Calgary is not deserted, the sabbat are still there but in secret havens due to all the attacks we have done.
2- many sabbat from Mexico have come to aid them and many of these sabbat HATE me.
3- the Sabbat have broken up and gone into hiding but are still communicating with each other.
so that what I have found, I am no good with computer an the such so I can not figure out if they are communicating electronically or not. I will find out is they are using messengers of some kind. I do know the day before their holy day they will hijack TELUS's system to send out information to each other(or at least that what ma sire believed)

1) I didn't say Calgary was deserted, I said that it was going to be emptied for the attack on Red Deer. So essentially, you are saying there are Sabbat in Calgary. You are dead on there. Well done.
2) Yes, about 300 reinforcements came up from Mexico about a month ago to spell off the shovelheads guarding the Blood Farm. Thank you for parroting the information I brought up 4 weeks ago.
3) The Sabbat are still communicating with each other? Yes, they are. And who broke that communication code? I did...about a month ago. Thank you for that as well.
I hope we can count on your claws, oh right, you use guns to fight.
Primogen LEPUS...perhaps we should have another conversation, as it appears that both Primogen John and Primogen Gabriel will be adding precious little to this defense.

I did not direct anything towards you, I simple stated that the Sabbat have gone into hiding. I do not wish to fight/argue with you sir. I am a tracker/hunter/investigator and Fighter Regent, If you found all this out before then I applaud you sir but seeing as i was in mexico at the time i didn't know that. As to what I can offer that simple ma self, as we both stated the Sabbat have about 300 reinforcements from Mexico and most will want ME. So lets give them what they want, I know I will be on there hit list. So Regent would you be willing in setting up a trap for the sabbat with me, a bit of tremere magic is always useful.

Realize this going out on your own to fight any Sabbat is a death wish. You will only be able to take out a few then you will run short of blood. Then your easy pickings from there. My suggestion would we group up at elysium and figure a plan there as we do not want any kindred killed...sadly there will be death as all war has had its casualties but doing something as going out on your own is only going to weaken us.

I think you are over underestimating the Sabbat and what they are capable of.I think you since you are not as close to as strong as Pickens is should not be making the decision as bait as YOU will get yourself killed. The Sabbat are smart in the ways of war I would suggest you change your plans of acting as "bait". Take the time remember as well the Sabbat are stronger on this day and will likely rip you to shreds like how you shred carrot on a salad. ...Pickens himself would have an issue fighting any Sabbat on the holy day what makes you think you can be better when you are less in everything in what Pickens was.

I understand where you coming from Miss Bunni but don't think i don't know that, I spent my undead life fighting them for the camarilla. They HATE me for a reason and that cause I kill them, I have fought in many wars against them and simply put so long as you have a good plan in place with kindred that have your back beign bait shouldn't be an issue. on the topic of me being as strong as pickens don't under estimate ma skills Miss Bunni.(OOC: he is OVER CONFIDENT lol he cant help it)

You may have been lucky back then but you also had people assisting you in the fight, you are looking at 300 sabbat that are coming to our city to kill as many of us as possible. Even if you have skill as you say you are not going to win against 300 Sabbat without help. There is not confirmed plan of action yet so don't jump to conclusions on what your doing or you WILL die. Pickens is more knowledgeable then you in wars as we as kindred have all seen what he does, further more if you do not heed my warning i wish you the best of luck in your survival as you are going to need it.

John, There are many in this city who have spent much time in their unlives fighting the Sabbat. I personally am the information Master who gathered what was needed for the Reclamation of Red Deer from the Sabbat less than a year ago. I have done this more than once in the past which is why I was contracted yet again to do so for Calgary.
Erik another Nosferatu who has just come to town was basically my counterpart on the east coast USA. Jack McVitie is well known for his knowledge and skills at having fought the SAbbat in the Past. Jaquline of Tremere was with Ulf, Harold and I in the reclamation of Red Deer. Primogen Gabriel has fought in war after war against not only the Sabbat but the Setites, Assamites, Lasambra both before and after the formation of the Sabbat.
Never discount the Tremere and their capabilities.
My point is that brandishing that about to us is like wearing a pair of dress shoes to a Ball. Half the people at it are or have done the same. Also, you are new to the city and the childe of someone who hindered our success more than helped.
The Myrmidian and his kick in the door tactics personally hindered and twarted many of my information gathering efforts. Had it not been for his method of war I would have not had to repeatedly spend the resources seeking out the havens for the same Kindred over and over. I would have had the location of the leaders and the heads of the hydra cut off or lined up to be cut off by now.
Typical warfare involves the gathering of information quietly, then analyzing plans and executing attacks at the appropriate time.
So tell me, why the F*#@ are you entering Calgary without informing those in charge of the war? Your actions may very well have caused the Sabbat to change locations of places or locals that are regularly visited and were slated as optimal targets when the timing is right. You may have compromised some of mine or Kaspar's efforts and knowledge.
The reason the Sabbat are communicating as they are is because of blind ignorance and the forms of attacks that you are performing. They were compromised 4-6 months ago but the door kicking caused them to find a more secure method of communicating. Which thanks to Elder Kaspar's and the Tremere under him, has been cracked.
But, any knowledge you possess is not secure. It can be stripped from your mind while you fight another.
And you think the ability to fight or shoot a gun and blunder through some low ranked Sabbat is the end all and be all of war. It is NOT.
Those like Primogen Bunny provide vital support, dismissing them is tantamount to ignorance. You have done nothing but make things more difficult and at best killed a few shovel heads. Your Predecessor carved a peace treaty out of declared war with the Lupines and made them allies. Yes the Prince was was the power behind the Treaty but it was Diana Wolfblane that made it possible. I would trade a few shovel head deaths for that treaty anyday. Further she garnered grudging respect from the other Primogen for your Clan with her actions despite the interference of your Sire.
So DO NOT try to pump yourself up on the fact that you can throw a good punch at the Sabbat and have done so for your unlife. Your personal incursions into Calgary show that you do not have the knowledge and wisdom but rather that you were a soldier in the army.
