Brothers and Sisters;
What in the ever-loving fuck in is happening in this godforsaken court?
Somehow, a horde of shovelheads are allowed to approach within spitting distance of Elysium, and half of the Court's Kindred cannot be bothered to do anything about it. The other half have been forbidden to act because of a fucking seneschal that does not seem to realize what war means, especially when the Sabbat are involved.
Next, instead of having a quiet way of dealing with them we let a fucking caitiff cause the worse masquerade breach that this domain has likely ever seen.
And while we're all trying to pick up the pieces and keep nearly every dammed kine governmental agency from blowing the masquerade wide open, we're apparently going to going to say goodbye to our current prince. Fine time to leave your subjects in a lurch, but what do I know? I've only been around for more than a millennia give or take a few centuries.
Oh, and lets not forget the our local Tremere reagent. Apparently the man has been dealing with the Cardinal behind everyone's backs, it would not surprise me if he knew tonight was only meant as a diversion. Also, the question remains as to what he got out of whatever deal he made with that soul-eating traitor.
I came to this city because I had hoped I might avenge my childer that fell to the Cardinal's sword, but after tonight I fear I may only be a witness to another one of his victories.

I have no answers. Every source of information I had failed right until the end. I had a gut feeling when I heard vanhanen was hosting a party that the Sabbat were going there but ALL my sources failed to report.
What did Kaspar's "Sanctioning" to deal with the Cardinal get us?? Nothing.
I am sure he probably knew Vanhanen was going to get hit. Based on his past behavior I would not be surprised if that was part of some agreement for them not to hit us to hard? HE is the one who kept parroting things back to us and then said he had undeniable information that ALL the Sabbat were attacking US halloween eve? He also was pushing for us to hit the Blood Bank when my information said it was not as unguarded as he claimed...
Anyways, I have debts to pay for the services of the Kindred I helped bring to town. I have to go travelling.
I am not accustomed to being hired to plan a war where I have ZERO authority, where every effort is counteracted and ever special exception to Camarilla society does their own thing. Where a Justicar who indirectly hired me gives special dispensation to a Clansman to bypass my efforts and counter them and then not share what he knows until it is to late or is already known.
Since the Packs I had forced into blood contracts to provide basic information has never done so, and Kaspar knew of them I can only assume he countered them as a bargaining chip with the Cardinal.
My contracts have been fulfilled/Cancelled for this war as The boons from Vanhanen are no longer good and he obviously can not pay the final agreed price. So I am done with it.
Anyways, I should be back by next gather if not one of you will need to step up as whip in the mean time.

Oh, I'm sure whatever deal he made was of significant benefit to the damned Warlocks. Word is that both the Edmonton and Red Deer chantries were completely untouched.
It appears as if the Camarilla has been sold out solely for the benefit of Clan Tremere, and from my viewpoint Kaspar has done far more damage to this court than any Sabbat member ever has. Were I Prince, I would have had him hung from his own intestines and put on display within Elysium itself!
I have reached out to Justicar Cock Robin in the hopes that the situation can be salavaged, but I am not optimistic.
If you need any aid in fulfilling your obligations or need me to stand in as Whip I will be more than glad to assist.

Also, if I can secure aid I will be seeking the position of Sheriff as a way to legitimize my authority. I am well-connected and quite likely one of the best investigators this court has ever seen, I can always deputize muscle when it its required.
I would appreciate you putting my name forward in this matter Brother.
On an unrelated matter, are they any Blood Sorcerers in the city other than the Tremere? Any Kindred with a command of even the most primitive forms of shamanism?

I have no more obligations when it comes to the war. I was paid and had agreements to be paid more from Prince Vanhanen. He is dead and can not fulfill his end of the bargain so I am discharged of all duties.
Which as such I am dismissing Smithee from my services. I do not like what I saw. His war drones screaming and decimating the streets. Yes, nice that it was in our defense but to know he has this capacity to destroy the masquerade so easily and prepare to do so.

Erik, I was unable to put your name forth at the meeting. By the time I re-joined the thread there was already disagreement and several names put forth. There were a number who seemed to favor Gabriel, himself among them.
Then after the Gangrel getting chewed out for trying to nominate two candidates Inara was actually the passifier and in the end suggested McVitie which everyone jumped on board with, except Gabriel.
That said I might be able to put your name forth for Keeper if he accepts and you are interested.

I am aware of Jack's candidacy Driscol, that is why I have been approaching the other Primogen and trying to convince them to support myself over him. Thus far Clans Gangrel and Brujah support my bid, and I believe I can also secure Gabriel's support. I will of course speak with the other clans, and with your support I attempt to convince the Prince that I am a better choice before a final decision is made.
Jack seems a capable warrior, but I doubt he possess the information network and investigative powers that I possess. I also doubt he comes part in parcel with forces provided by a Justicar and experience in waging a war. The sheriff is typically the Warlord in a Camarilla domian, and he must be a capable general as well as the Prince's best thug.
I came to this city to win a war Brother. While I appreciate the thought, the position of Keeper does not interest me in the slightest.
