Simply put, we are all well and truly fucked.
The longer version is that the Camarilla as a whole is largely defunct at this point in time, and for the foreseeable future. I don't know if you heard this or not, but shortly after declaring her city to be Imperator-aligned the Prince of Toronto (I believe, it was a domain in Ontario at any rate) was visited by the Venture Justicar. Words were exchanged, and the Justicar was killed. Talks between the two sides quickly broke down, and now a full-blown civil war has erupted across the globe. Countless domains have declared for one side or the other, with cities like our choosing to remain on the fence.
On top of all of this, global communications seem to have mostly broken down. While our clan is best equipped to whether this blackout, even we are largely ignorant of the world at large. For all intents and purposes, the Camarilla no longer exists as a powerful, unified body able to exert its will on global affairs.
The reason we should have great cause for alarm as Elders is because the entire system that propped us up, supported our rule, and kept the neonates down no longer exists. Our methods of social control via status and boons no longer have any weight above that of the prince, and any support we could muster from outside sources is no unavailable. We are intensely vulnerable. The minute the Neonates and Ancilla realize what is theirs for the taking is the minute we all become lunch. This is especially dangerous as the Neonates of this city are united under leadership, and their leader just so happens to be a young Brujah. Remind you of a certain revolt? They've just been handed the revolution on a silver platter. On top of all of that, the Prince believes the neonates can be cowed by appointing ONE as an ADVISER when they could quite easily take the reigns of power for itself.
Were that our only concern Brothers, perhaps we might whether this storm. But no, we have many other threats to deal with. The Sabbat are still out there, and the thing that walks in Cardinal Strathcona's skin seeks to drown us all in eternal night or some-such shit. In any case, he and his compatriots are still quite powerful and still seek our untimely demises.
Also, as it turns out the Werewolves have stepped up their game and now the Wendigo are now battling what appears to be a massive Anarch contingent in the south side of Red Deer. Whomever wins, (obviously the lupines, but maybe the Anarchs have a nuclear device or something) will likely turn on our weakened, divided court and annihilate it. In response to these events, a Garou sworn to Ava Lovelace of the Glass Walker tribe approached us with an "offer" of sorts. She promised a nebulous protection in return for a series of demands. Basiclly, most of these demands were already covered by the masquerade, such as no undue harm towards mortals, limited population etc. However, Ada wanted an oath of fealty. The Prince, being the Prideful and Arrogant bitch I now see her to be, utterly refuses to consider even lying to buy us some time.
Instead, she has decided to threaten Ada by trying to get Pentex to move into our fair city. In case you were unaware, Pentex is a massive global conglomerate that is also the primary tool of the Lupine's destroyer god here on Earth. They count Spirit-ridden, umbral monsters, and even Sabbat kindred amongst their twisted mortals ranks, and their special projects would even cause a Kindred to recoil in disgust. Prince Windsor seems to think that they would either deal with the werewolves or that the threat of them would cause them to back off. However, I believe that such a decision would drive both clans to unite to destroy us. Even if it did not, Pentex is in no way beholden to us, and could not in any way shape or form be counted on to expend resources to aid us.
This brings me to my last point, which links back to the problem of the now empowered neonates. Alliance to Imperator or Camarilla falls along clan lines in most respects. Venture, Assamite,Tremere, and Malkavian support the old order and would re-establish everything as is should they win. Brujah, Gangrel, and Toredor support the Imperator, and should he win he would abolish the Justicariot and put Myrmidons in their place. The system itself would remain largely the same.
While you were away, I received a letter from out Justicar Stanford Warwick. Clan Nosferatu supports a third approach, that of wholesale reform. You know as well as I do that the Camarilla, while a useful tool is also a bloated whore. It is rife with hypocrisy, blind and willful ignorance, nepotism, and radical abuse of power as well being largely inefficient at containing the schemes of elders. Now it has come crashing down. I, along with the Justicar, believe that reform is necessary if the Camarilla is to survive in the 21st century. Princes will be elected, boons replaced with contracts, etc. Not only will such an approach heal the Camarilla, I believe that it will mollify the neonates while making us stronger as a whole. I will show you this letter when we next meet.

As I think I have made clear, the decisions of Prince Windsor are going to get us all killed. Drastic action may be necessary.
Let me know if you have any questions Brothers.

Also, I just realized that I forgot to mention that she has abolished the Primogen council, and yet still claims the title of Prince. I'll leave the full implications of that to you, but needless to say she is attempting to rule like a tyrant when she should be courting the clans now more than ever.

I'll have a fully reply this evening. She has forced the court to become independent of the Camarilla. Not a wise decision to say the least.
