Apprentice TORRENS and Apprentice ORSINI:
You have seen where the strength of this Chantry lay.
Do you have any suggestions about how and where we can improve?
I think that we have covered off the Retainers quite well.
We are lacking in: - Influence - Allies - Contacts
I think that Contacts is where we should be focussing, as information is key. Of course some Allies would also be able to bring information and accomplish some tasks. Influence, while interesting, requires a lot to be quite useful, and I don't think that it would do us good to focus there.
What is each of your opinions? I do not expect you to agree with me solely because I am Regent. You were both Embraced for your acumen and intelligence and I am calling upon it.
Finally, with Sophia now being appointed Regent of the Edmonton Chantry and Apprentice Xavier going with her, that leaves Red Deer, slightly understaffed.
Do you have recommendations for individual talents that this Chantry could use?
I would think Apprentices in the following areas would be helpful:
- Security Specialist - Combat Specialist - Weather Specialist (which would be effective against the Wretch, Smithee and his drones.
Thoughts?

I think someone versed in the Path of Weather Mastery would be most useful. They do not even have to be at the pinnacle of mastery to be of extreme benefit to us. The first level, Fog, renders his toys dumb and blind, unless he has enhanced imaging capabilities (which he very well may have). However, the second level, Fluctuation, somewhat addresses that as thermal imaging and the like require a fairly large temperature differential to function properly. (It is particularly ineffective in tropical environments, for example, as the ambient temperature often matches the body temperature of living organisms and the sensors are unable to tell them apart.) So if we ensure that everything is evenly warm (or cold I suppose as we our bodies are cold) then his drones will not be able to see much of anything. Finally, the third level, Gale, makes this all an academic discussion as even a moderate wind grounds his entire fleet. Drones need neutral air conditions for the most part, and there is no drone existing that can stay aloft in high winds. This, I think, is a high priority for acquisition as the other areas you address (security, combat) we can simply buy the expertise we need in retainers, whereas this sort of esoteric magical knowledge is rather more difficult to come by.

Apprentice ORSINI:
An interesting notion. Feel free to start learning the Path of Weather Mastery. I would suggest beginning your studies after you have mastered your Path of Technomancy.
