Good Evening Ventrue Red Deer,
With the death of Primogen Gabriel, I will, as Whip of Clan Ventrue, assume the title of Primogen until I am either chosen as such or the title is moved to another member based on discussions that will take place at the next Elysium I attend.

OOC: A couple Saturdays ago. A book of boons, as it were, was called in to kill him. The Gangrel Brooks died, too, trying to help him escape. Be sure to see me when you next have a chance - maybe this upcoming game? - we have some stuff to talk about.

Ah, M'Kael, Alan Smithee was adopted to Ventrue by the previous Primogen, Gabriel. As I stated in our online Elysium, I may not simply undo this action like some petty ruler undoing the work of a previous one, but under my administration Ventrue will no doubt be run differently. I will speak to Smithee about this the next time we are both at Elysium, and possibly address the court on the subject, if the need arises. Otherwise, do send any questions you have directly to me.

I must be clear on something. This is not just because he is now Forsaken.
IF, you choose to perpetrate this fallacy that we are trash and that this Caitiff is or ever was part of our Clan we will have issue. Ventrue stem from honorable blood.
The tainted bloodlines of a Crusader that pretends status and changes who they come from depending on at what point he reports them does not constitute the adoption of trash. Such efforts as his to sully our clan do not make it so. If you do not have the respect for yourself to stand up and say you are pure and our clan here is pure of blood then we, you and I will have issue.
If however, you are willing to openly state that this scum of the earth was a fallacy perpetrated by a disgraced individual who was not even pure in his own right, then I have no issue with you as Primogen or otherwise.
One fool does not have the power to raise a caitiff to King.

I held my tongue to Smithee being accepted into the clan cause I did not know much on the events that lead up to it nor did I know very much of Elder Gabriel, If what you said is true about elder Gabriel then that goes a long way to explain why the ventrue were not a power within this city or court. As for the Caitiff Allen smithee he has showen his true self at last Elysium and that a is a coward and a walking masquerade breach, He had talents that proved useful and I was willing to keep him around till he became more of a problem then a solution for us but I should of from the very start opposed him being allowed into this clan. Prehaps a servant of the clan but he should never of been allowed to think of himself as a member of Ventrue.
Edvin Lange I am not against you being this clans primogen, I personally like you and would like you to see you as our primogen. Prince Elijah Windsor's vote will carry much sway in who will become our Primogen. What Mr. Micvicci said here today does hold truth though Mr. Lange

I understand your concerns. I have made it excessively clear, in public, even to the previous Prince herself, that I was not in approval of Alan Smithee joining Ventrue (Drakos, you were there when I stated this). You furthermore can see my disdain made clear on the official record of the Office of the Harpy while I was Whip of Ventrue (http://reddeermasquerade.boards.net/thread/186/master-harpy-change-plans). Since the Primogen Council had been dissolved by the previous Prince, I was not immediately in a position to expel the Caitiff. Gabriel and I never agreed on this point, to the extent that we had a falling out that I would expect would have gotten worse if not for his untimely Final Death. When the Primogen Council is officially reinstated, I will make my declaration in support of the Prince's ruling; unless, of course, the Prince decides that I may make my declaration as Primogen of Ventrue before the next Elysium due to the support of our clan for my position of Primogen Ventrue Red Deer. Either way, you need have no doubt that I will honour the clan.
