Prince Elijah WINDSOR:
I would like to present a motion for your consideration.
I was one of 3 that were instrumental in your installment as Prince of this city. One of the conditions were that the transfer be bloodless. We accomplished that task and the former Prince, Barbara WINDSOR followed propriety and accepted the action as gracefully as could be expected. She deserves respect for her acceptance of the will of the city.
However, my issues come with the treatment of Mr. McVITIE. The Ventrue Clan was charged with ensuring that Mr. McVITIE were occupied as we were fully aware of his loyalty to his wife. I do not know what transpired to have the Ventrue Clan attempt to assassinate Mr. McVITIE. This is totally unacceptable. Politics is politics and disagreement over direction is not a reason for destruction. I know that you did not want his destruction. I know it must be an over-zealous member of your Clan.
Mr. MARCHAND was the subject of an assassination sometime ago by Gabriel, and nothing was done. That was a mistake, to do nothing again, would be another.
Action is required. Mr. McVITIE has defended this city and it's citizens numerous times, he did not deserve this despicable treatment.
I implore you to bring the individual that was responsible to light and follow through with an appropriate punishment.
Thou art forbidden to destroy another of thy kind. The right of Destruction belongeth only to thine Elder. Only the Eldest among thee shall call the Blood Hunt.
As you, and the citizens of the Camarilla are all aware, this has meant, in the Modern Nights, that only the Prince of a City can call for the destruction of another Cainite. While I concede that Princeship was in question at the time, I know that you did not sanction the destruction of Mr. McVITIE and I am positive that Ms. WINDSOR did not, this leaves an upstart that is unclear of the Traditions.
Mr. McVITIE deserves justice for this act.
Others may try to make the argument that war is a political statement, and in a coup d'etat Cainites may fall, and Mr. McVITIE was on the losing side. However, it is the wise and just Prince that demands both propriety and adherence to the Traditions even to his political adversaries. Mr. McVITIE is not, and nor should he have been treated as, an enemy of the state. He has been a staunch defender of it.
Should my words fall upon deaf ears or other voices of anger shout to drown mine out, I shall close with a whisper of the truly innocent in this entire fiasco.
Mack.
Mack was driving a car. Mack was not defending the outgoing Prince. Mack was not pressing the side of the incoming Prince.
Mack was driving a car.
Mack was almost destroyed by this crazed Ventrue. A Ventrue that cared nothing for any who got in his way. If you decide that Mr. McVITIE does not deserve vengeance nor justice, then what argument is there to deny Mack?
I am sure that you will take the proper stance in this.
Thank you for your consideration in this.
