As you all know, there is a major concern over the garou at the moment. They are taking Red Deer and increasing in numbers quicker then we can stop them. As Sheriff, it is my duty to keep the city safe, and so long as the Garou continue to keep conquering red deer, that's just not possible.
Garou are not to be taken lightly. While I am not certain how many of you have had to face off against them, I can speak from my personal experience, having dealt with a handful in just the last year alone.
As sheriff, I am requesting at this time, the help of all the members of the city of Red Deer. I encourage you to please consider different ideas, and discuss them with me so that we may take our city back as our again.
As well, I also encourage all of you to please not antagonize them, and be careful not to break the masquerade should you be forced to combat one.
My door is open to those who need me, and please remember that I am only one Kindred, and we are stronger together. While the ultimate defense of this city falls on my shoulders, all the Kindred of Red Deer should wish this city to be safe.

With that being said, This is a very delicate situation. It requires a lot of balancing.

Jace, I was not put in the position of Sheriff to ensure that anyone gets glory. I was put in the position to ensure the safety of Red Deer.
The sacrifice of personal glory is hardly a sacrifice at all if it ensures that the city is safe.
Aside from that, this problem is likely not one to be handled single handedly. It will take more then one kindred to bring down the Garou, and anyone who thinks it is a task best handled by one kindred alone, is foolish in my opinion. I am not saying you yourself are, simply the notion is.

Well just as a general principle we might want to start stockpiling silver, that will never be unwelcome where the Garou are concerned.

I am not a military man Sheriff, and while I admire the beauty that is found in the dance of combat I must admit my strategic knowledge is somewhat lacking.
While I am certainly available to assist, my recommendation for you would be to reach out and find someone that has conducted a war before. Someone familiar with the area preferably, but failing that a champion with a solid grasp on tactics would be sufficient.

Right now doing raids is pointless, we should focuses on defending the territory we still hold. If the sheriff takes those who are combat orientated then that leaves the rest vulnerable, so if since this foe needs a group to defeat in combat then we focus on physical defense and attack another way.

Defenseless... Where I have heard or seen that people get attacked when they are defenseless.. It seems so... Familiar.
In any case I am working on a plan at the moment, but I do welcome input still. I agree that taking the offensive role in this is somewhat of a ... Difficult task... But there is a way to take a balanced stand which is what I will be contacting some of you about soon.
In the mean time, I am asking that if you have resources to contribute to this that might helpful, send me a message so that we may discuss things.
Remember- this is for the good of the city, not any one person.
