Odd disease spreading through Red Deer

There have been reports of a strange illness spreading through Red Deer. It seems to have started with the first responders in town; the paramedics, fire fighters and police. It has spread into the general populace from there. The symptoms are dehydration and general malaise - enough that the locals feel ill, but not enough for them to stay home. Any kindred feeding off of the ill suffer no noticeable effects, merely a strange taste in the blood.
