To the citizens of my Red Deer;
I will not be present at the next gathering due to matters involving the disruption of communication in and out of this Provence. Now usually the good Doctor would fill in as my Seneschal, but with all of the stresses of this city, I would like to have a festive event to lighten a few spirits of my court.
To my clan death-days are very important days, more so when they landmark special dates. Such as when a child of a Venture Prince is finally considered an ancilla, on such a day the prince will reward the child by making them 'Prince for the Night.' Unfortunately, all of my children have grown up and have scattered themselves across this continent. Though there is a kindred in this city that I see as an adopted child, for her sire was one of the very few in my centuries that I could call a true friend, who is on the verge of ancilla-hood.
So for the night of the next gathering, Inara Shepard will be 'Prince for the Night.'

P.S. For those wondering the good Doctor will hold Authority in my city till I return and for that one night Inara Shepard words shall be my command and all in my City will heed her voice.
