ALL new kindred that will be at gather, are to report to me immediately upon their arrival, and prior to my beginning of the evening rant.

And what would us new kindred be looking for as a way to identify you, O Sheriff? I do not wish to make a fool of myself by approaching the wrong person. First impressions are rather important, or so I hear.
(o.o.c. Sorry if I'm not speaking in the proper manner to you, I'm not sure what kindred are elders or not yet. Also what time does game start? Aaron never told me.)

She'll be the shortish one in probably biker leathers, probably sitting in the largest chair in the room.
If you have any questions at the gather itself, look for he hairy guy in green. I don't mind helping new arrivals out, it's kind of my job to make sure they get pointed towards acknowledgement, or towards the road out of town.

Sheriff Shepard,
By new kindred, I shall proceed on the assumption that you are meaning 'new to the city' and not 'new to the embrace'. A rudimentary distinction perhaps but as I am unaware of the specific customs of the local Red Deer kindred, it is a distinction to which I believe that some small measure of clarity be granted. In the absence of clarity and in the interests of being both amenable and respectful I shall proceed on the aforementioned assumptions.
Based on this I shall comport myself accordingly and make the necessary arrangements to myself to be properly available to your person with the manner and respect to which your station fairly warrants.
With respect;
Lt. Nick Stone -Ancilla of Clan Toreador

I thank thee Mack, Scourge of Red Deer, for the information. I will be sure to find her or you on the night of gathering.

Of course the other option is that if there are those who have not been presented to the Prince previously that they simply become scourge bait.
Ohhh... Or maybe we could convince a Elder to host a ordeal to bring in those not Acknowledged.
Wait or.. those who choose not to follow the 5th Tradition, that of Hospitality. You know the one that states you must present yourself to the Domain Holder, whom in this case is Sheriff Inara. Meaning she holds ultimate authority over EVERYONE in her domain except the Prince as he could revoke it. But wait, she will be Prince for the day.
So perhaps wisdom says we present ourselves to her.

I'm curious. Do Kindred that do this think there won't be any consequences, because she only holds the status for one night? Like she doesn't immediately go back to Sheriff with a fresh grudge, like the prince isn't watching all of this going on?

Oh M'Kael. Such a lovely man you are! Your wit never ceases to amaze me. We shall see what people do. You wanna be rude to me and be all sorts of rebellious while in my domain people, go for it! I'll make sure its taken care of. I ain't worried.
Just a tip though: Don't let me hear about it.

It is customary for all new Kindred to a city to present themselves to the Prince at the first gathering (if not before).
For myself this will be the first time I have attended court and as such I will present myself as new to the city, this is very clear cut in our customs and traditions.
However the exact position that the introduction of kindred new to a city, takes in the evenings affair is something left to the disposition and whims of the Prince.
It also falls under the purview of the Prince to have their chief enforcer IE the Sheriff act as example and adjudicator for the monitoring of the conduct of those freshly embraced to ensure that they comport themselves if a manner befitting their new station and respecting whatever accoutrements the introduction into our society has levied upon them.
As such I believe that their may be some confusion as to exactly which role the honorable Sheriff is undertaking with this specific missive.
I for one am happy to both present myself to the court as our customs dictate, I am also quite happy to meet with either the Sheriff, Prince or both at their convenience before the official commiseration of customary proceedings. I cannot see why any upstanding member of our noble community would have rationale to pursue any other course. In fact I would indeed urge those with such dissonant motivations to reexamine both the bases and conclusions of their actions.
With that said, it would seem that there is still some small but potential level of confusion as to the exact nature of this summons, its intent and from which authority it originates. All sources are valid, and respect is due as our organization dictates, however that same organization also offers a mandate of clarity when such authorities are invoked.
Should anyone offer resistance to this summons it would more likely be based more on this ambiguity than on any intent to show discord with or to a particular stations authoritative position.
I will make myself available to the Prince or Sheriff or even to a fellow member of our sect, should they simply ask (as Ms.Shepard has indeed done).
Other however might require that the proper protocol be conformed to with such headings as a statement of the authority on which this summons is made, be clearly indicated.
Many of our brethren are less than pleased to be summoned without knowing whom is enacting such summons or why.
