To defeat... The hun....ters. HA. Anyone see what I did there? No? Alrighty then. Tough crowd. Ahem
In all seriousness they showed up at my doorstep. Hooray. Someone wish to let me know what Intel they have on this lovely group?
There was a bunch of you last night that were feeding me information about it. But I kinda feel like ALL that information should be made public so we can stop, collaborate, and listen.

Well, the old adage is 'kill one, and two more will show up', so we should be expecting four next time. Find me a place to start, and i'll see what I can find out.

Might I recommend that you elect two deputies with key skills sets.
1) Investigation 2) Infiltration 3) Mortal Influence (generally in such areas as media, police, health, although ingenuity can make all influence useful in the right context [e.g. such as in the church right now])
The plus side to deputy you get a degree of status but more importantly you will likely get considered should the former position holder move on; assuming of course you were seen to be competent. The reality is although Prince's consider there own political agendas they also wish to be seen to elevate people who can do the job as otherwise his officers simply make the Prince look like an idiot.
Having put my two cents in on that I'll make my observation from what I saw. They had just gotten off the plane suggested by the fact that they were driving a rental. Yet were armed to the teeth with specialized weaponry? They didn't bring that lot with them on the plane so someone supplied them. Find the supplier and you've gotten closer to the root of the matter. Last but not least perhaps I might suggest that whoever continues to help in this investigation does not kill all the bloody hunters.
Remember dead men tell no tales.

And hunters that don't answer their phones bring in more hunters, let's not forget. The more we move directly against them, the more we draw their direct attention to Red Deer itself.

I would further say to that, trust the man in the field.
To borrow a new saying adage, it is easy to armchair quarterback.
Unless you were there, and you weren't, only those that were know the reality of the situation. Do not pretend your judgement would have been any better given the same circumstances and the same set of knowledge.
What Ms. SHEPARD accomplished in the killing of the scout should be applauded, not derided.
While a "strong skill set in investigation" is nice, perhaps, that person should use that skill set to be proactive rather than reactive. It is all nice to react once the threat is here, it would have been better if the threat had been identified when it arrived some 9 months or so ago.
Destroying the scout may not have been ideal, but letting the scout escape after watching the conflict with the Garou would have been disastrous. Better for a dead scout to not answer his phone than to return with a full report. Right now they have suspicion, which is far better than fact.
Of course, this entire musing is based on the death of the scout, not on the 2 at Ms. SHEPARD's last night. I am in no position to comment on what happened there.
One only need look at the escape of Face from both Scourge Mack and Ms. ROLAND (and to a lesser extent, Mr. McVITIE), last evening to see that a single individual dedicated to escape can pose a significant difficulty.

With all due respect Regent Kasper I generally am not in the habit of talking about that which I know piddle all about. Frankly it took me a minute or two to figure out what you were talking about. Perhaps you might want to re-appraise my last statement when I used the word "they" implying plural an awful lot. That might have suggested that I was referring to the multiple hunter scenario we had on our doorstep and not the singular situation I believe you had with this scout who I barely knew anything about and therefore wasn`t referring to. As to the rest of your appraisal of my performance or opinion I stand by it and generally don`t find myself reclining in an armchair much as I`d luv to.

That's funny, because when the Prince said 'Remove them from my domain', i read that as 'Get them out of my city', not 'Kill them in my haven and get blood all over my floors'. I dunno, maybe it was just me, but running from the outskirts of town into the same woods i chased the last few werewolves into a few weeks ago seems pretty out of town to me.

Pretty sure I asked for Intel. Not for you guys to be at each others throats about the situation. You do realize that regardless of how or what is happening, this kinda comes down on all of us right? If you are going to squabble about how it happened, or who's at fault, or whatever, do it elsewhere please.

I am confused, this Face was/is accepted in the city which does not make it the Scourges failure to capture him as it is not his duty to do so. Though I suppose a boon could have been called in to force him to expend the effort or was offered as it should be when asking a service of someone when it is not within the purview of their duties.
It was not Elysium so I fail to see how Keeper McVitie failed in his job or why he would even bother unless he was being paid for his service.
This Face to my knowledge is not Red Listed, so it is no more the fault of the Alastar (who's job means they specialize in capturing and destroying difficult to capture people). than that of the Sheriff or Scourge. Speaking of which why DO we have an Alastar in the city?
I realize this Face was deceitful, claiming that which he is not but that makes it more of a social matter on which the Harpy has ruled upon rightly making him Disgraced. IF anyone was actually foolish enough to believe, and acted on it causing them inconvenience and are willing to admit to their own foolishness in being deceived, why not just petition for a boon as compensation? is this not how we do things? Or do we now hunt Kindred down with the intention of doing what? to someone the Prince has recognized? Making it ONLY the Prince who has right of destruction over them?
Several individuals have now interacted with him, some of whom are Brujah, another of which, assuming he is indeed recognized in the city, (as was confirmed at gather by the Harpy) also Prince Windsor.
Perhaps Prince Windsor or one of the Brujah could simply summon him? Not for destruction, but so the Prince, should he decide that more is needed than the declaration of the Harpy, can properly determine what form of punishment suits the deception he perpetrated, as only the Prince has right of destruction if he is indeed Accepted in the city.

Let me make it clear that I simply said I wished for him to be removed from the domain. As my domain was ALL of red deer that evening, what was asked of people, was done. Should anyone wish to think otherwise, they can take it up with me personally instead of squabblin about it here.
Enough is enough. Shit happens and its how we are gonna deal with it that matters.
