Sheriff Shepard,
I have been monitoring police reports regarding the incidents of gathering night. As of now there has been no additional complications worth mentioning regarding the shoot out with the hunters during last courts gather.
The mauled body which might have caused incident was successfully switched, and all evidence of supernatural activity has been successfully disposed of.
It should be pointed out that Mr.McVitie was invaluable with assisting the rapid resolution of this incident and protection of the masquerade.
I wish you a pleasant and uneventful evening

Since it will make you happy,
Please find a copy of the official police reports attached below. Mother was right, I should have written fiction.

Summary:
Investigating Officer: Lt. Nick Stone Department: RDSTF Date: 14/05/2016
On the night in question Lt.Stone was meeting with an undercover informant XXXNAMEREDACTEDXXX. Shortly thereafter both men were assaulted by two individuals, these men opened fire without provocation or warning. Lt. Stone and XXXNAMEREDACTEDXXX returned fire. The individuals who were later identified as (OOC cannot remember names, but they are listed here) and (same) of Stettler Alberta sought cover. While XXXNAMEREDACTEDXXX provided cover Lt.Stone was able to close distance and attempt to disarm an assailant. This grapple caused the discharge of a shortened shotgun at a point blank proximity, autopsy confirms this as the cause of death and subsequent massive blood loss. XXXNAMEREDEACTEDXXX was able to hit and disable the second assailant.
Support was called, and first aid attempted but the second assailant died from GSW related trauma before paramedics arrived. While attempting first aid Lt. Stone overheard the second assailant speaking in a foreign language and repeating some type of phrase. This is congruent with the information found in the nearby vehicle and the engravings on the assailants weaponry.
The likely motivation for this assault is religious or cult activity with Lt. Stone the target. As both this incident and the area of religious motivated crimes fall under the purview of the Special Task Force, further investigations have been relegated to that department.
Any further inquiry is to contact:

The classics never die no?
That said, Religious/Cult/Terror puts the incident firmly under my jurisdiction and makes constructing the proper fiction a much simpler task.
It also helps to invalidate things like concrete plants, as points of interest (something I would guess reduces a personal headache for yourself).
I will keep you informed of any salient follow up should you so wish.

I will endeavor to switch these incidents towards cult activity (unless large scale explosions are involved). This is a fairly faceless category and incites the right amount of both seriousness but with the culprit being anonymous.
Speaking of anonymous, while it is no doubt obvious to yourself, I would like to note that the 'redacted informant' who rendered assistance was Mr.McVitie.

I gathered as much. I did happen to rush out after it all had taken place to stop that Gangrel guy from doing anything worse.

A good time to intercede, no doubt your intervention helped to remove any possibility of violating the masquerade. To be fair to the members of clan Gangrel, they were the ones whom actually killed these hunters and removed this threat from our door.
I merely obfuscated the results of their honorable protection of our court.
I would leave such decisions to yourself, but since there was no fallout or any mortal awareness, perhaps this is one of those situations where the two sides balance out?
I am unsure how the Red Deer court views either the actions of protecting from Hunters, or the use of disciplines to do so. Should this be an issue that requires formal hearing by the court proper please let me know and I will make sure that all of the necessary support information is available to the parties as you instruct.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance,

The situation is already being dealt with. On multiple fronts. Yours being one of them. Thank you for the suggestion, but his punishment is up to me to decide, and while I am glad to have those who offer to give advice, it's been dealt with.
On the other side of things, Yes. I do realize that he and his were a great help to reducing a threat, and I thank them for that. While others may have only seen the downside to their actions, I see the bright side. Especially seeing as how no blood got on my floor... Though I am sure Clan Gangrel knows I appreciate the work they did.
