Deputy.
This is a grey area within the rules of the Camarilla. These deputy positions are created when the need for extra force/help/etc arises for the Position of Keeper, Sheriff, or Scourge. As these officers of the court have appointed deputies, the officers are solely responsible for their actions. The Sheriff, Keeper, and Scourge are not above punishment over the transgressions of their Deputies.
The status of Deputy is known to all, though we must clarify some thing.
To become a full-time Deputy, one must serve the office for 3 months in the deputy position. There must be no breaks in this time, as any break and loss of status will require you to start all over again. Once the 3 month trial has been completed, then the Deputy will become an officially recognized Officer, under direct command of whatever office put them in that position.
IF Deputy was granted for the evening to assist in the protection of domain, you will not become an officer automatically. Instead, you will have the status as per the position, but at the end of the night, said status fades away. As the status is only viable for one evening.
