Hey all, what is the age requirement for players?
My 15yr old son will be visiting me the wknd of next game. If he wanted to come and check out a LARP game, would that be ok? Or would he be too young for your comfort zones?

Not sure. Depends on game and ST. Personally I have no objections with it based on our current storylines if ST's and other players are cool with it.
Many games limit age due to mature content.

we've had children come to game before, and much younger. That said, they were never players. The only time it was ever a problem was when we were playing at a school, and had to get proper insurance and such, we had to disallow that for legal reasons. As far an i know, so long as the Mason hall is okay with it under our agreement with them, we should legally be in the clear, but I would still make sure that the ST crew is alright with it.

If his parent is there and is the one asking to allow their child to play then I would see not problem.

I do not care in the slightest the age. Knowing which player it is will be able to help how certain senarios play out ie no excessive cursives or inappropriate comments. Last game I was in with minors we had them wear an special pin on badge to let others know they were underage.

I wanted to thank everyone for making my son feel welcome. He really had fun, even just as a voyeur (except as Face's messenger) and spent most of the drive home discussing character ideas for the next time he'll be available. |
