I would kindly like to remind the members of the Red Deer court of higher standing you are defending a caitiff. The Primogen Kaspar did not remove the caitiff from the clan he publicly announced his poor decision and as such must suffer the consequences. Allen Smithee now suffers under the GREATER STATUS BAN. As I am feeling rather generous I shall ignore your previous comments but I will remind the court Allen Smithee is now by his choice CAITIFF.

If it pleases the court to know that I did not make this choice lightly, It was made clear to me that should I remain. I would end up tor pored and or staked. This was the only resolution that I have come to that keeps me vertical. If you are all worried about the repercussions of being involved with me at any level that I would suggest that you do not involve yourself with me and work with the Clan Tremere instead of myself. I have in no way declared a war or asked anybody to choose sides. This is a simple matter of it not being possible for myself to continue to work for Regent Kasper. He has status over me before I made this choice and therefore his word trumps mine.
I simple saw no other alternative for my own survival. I will not work to hinder anybody for choosing Kasper over myself as I never asked anybody to pick a side. I have no desire to divide the Court any further but I will continue to exist which is what Kasper fears most of all I suspect.

Only a fool chooses to become Caitiff, regardless of the circumstances. I cannot help but come to the conclusion that the influence of certain anti-traditionalist kindred in the city are undermining the very social fabric which supports the clans.
