Kindred of Red Deer:
Internal Clan issues are internal Clan issues.
Suffice to say House and Clan Tremere have invested heavily in Allan SMITHEE and he has sought to abscond with that investment.
It is the position of the Chantry of Red Deer that any Kindred assisting or "purchasing" the services of Allan SMITHEE shall not be smiled upon. Red Deer shall make its choice. You can have SMITHEE or you can have the Chantry. You cannot have both.
We have done much for this city behind the scenes. We have not asked for accolades nor have we asked for payment for what we have done. While some were lauded in their finding of the bombs, who do you think it was that told you what to look for and where? Who was it that disarmed them.
That is the most recent example, there are numerous others.
I ask that the citizens of Red Deer assist I this single matter. You need not actively assist, just do not hinder.
Should you wish to actively assist, then Apprentice TORRENS will speak to you of remuneration.

Might I remind the Kindred of Red Deer that this is coming from a Regent of a Chantry and that is openly not supporting the Tremere Prince.

Uh... Just one question.. If it's supposed to be internal clan matters, then why is that the court is now being informed of these things? And why is that we are being dragged into the matter?

You know what that sounds like to me? Sounds like a way to divide the court even more... BRILLIANT. Absolutely brilliant. Because YES let's do that and make our enemies even STRONGER.
Excuse me for sounding rude or cold or hell, even disrespectful, but god damn. This court is falling apart at the seams and no one seems to give a shit or see the bigger problems.

I am sure we are all adult enough to make our own choices ...at least I hope so. Of course then we should also worry about how humans are destroying the forest and how we should protect the living creatures there you know bigger things and such. I think we should all take over a nice cup of tea and a carrot.

I believe he was implying that one could accept aid from Smithee or the Chantry, not both. I'm no Tremere, but I doubt he can uproot the Chantry in a Tremere Princedom merely due to a dispute with a disobedient student. In any case, him trying to do so would likely be a very bad idea. |
